Icon32 You Kill Me - Brazil TV 1999

Here's GLENN and band (JJ Marsh-guitar, Hans Zermühlen -keys and Bob Harsen-drums) performing You Kill Me from the then just released, The Way It Is, on a Brazilian youth TV show called Turma da Cultura on Wednesday, November 24th, 1999 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

It's cool to see the kids into rock music unlike some other parts of the world where it's Britney and the like

The ABSOLUTE HIGH-LIGHT of that show,
is when the teen-age boy / host watches a short film clip of Glenn,
(complete with beard from his Black Sabbath days, singing,
I think, "No Stranger To Love") and says:

"Who is that? You? YOU GOT BETTER."

Saint Glenn just smiles..........................

Love it!

a great clip - Thanks for posting it, David

(Personally I could have had more of Glenn and JJ in the clip and less of Hans Zermuehlen's left hand on the Roland synth, which he obviously uses only to thicken the lower, standing chords.)

Cheers,
Christian

Hi,

Anyone wants to make me a DVD (PAL) copy of that show?
It's possible for me to swap it for original photos I made during the broadcast, or maybe something else I have laying around. I'd just love to see it again.

cheers,

- Fedor

I just saw Hans a couple of months ago playing jazz fusion stuff with a trio, up close at Spagettini in Seal Beach. He's one of my favorites and it's always great to watch him play. He's there once a month, sometimes every two months. Very much missed from the GH band.

Thumbs up NeverAfter...

Here's one other from the same show, NeverAfter, played only during that 1999 tour in support of The Way It Is, so certainly a rare performance, with JJ giving us another fine axe workout

GLENN is joined by JJ Marsh-guitar, Hans Zermühlen -keys and Bob Harsen-drums) - taped live on Brazilian youth TV show called Turma da Cultura on Wednesday, November 24th, 1999 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Enjoy
