Icon38 Thrall, Shrieve & Hellborg

In 1985, after Hughes-Thrall didn't lift-off as expected, Pat Thrall gave a one-off live concert together with his ex-Automatic Man pal Michael Shrieve and Swedish bass player extraordinaire Jonas Hellborg.

They played a blistering set at the NEFERTITI JAZZ CLUB in Sweden on March 14 1985.

Among the tracks they played was this instrumental one: Try (and take my love).

Hughes-Thrall connoisseurs will certainly know that this song was also demo'd with a Glenn vocal for a tentative but never finished Hughes-Thrall II album.

Pat never got to record with Shrieve & Hellborg. Shrieve & Hellborg did team up however with BUCKETHEAD (ex guns 'n' roses) with who they recorded an album worth checking out : Octave of the Holy innocents

Thanks again Ad.... It's times like these that I am so glad you've come back to GHPG.NET You're contributions are quite often, bad-ass like this one was- and were missed very much.

Thanks!

Mark
