On Monday, April 12th, GLENN will be performing in the Palapa Lounge at The Palms Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. You can use the above link to keep an eye-out when tickets will go on sale via TicketMaster or if you are close by to the venue, you can purchase them at the Palms Gift Shop within the hotel.

To reserve a room you can call toll free at 866-942-7770.

More details will follow, but we can tell you the venue holds approx. 100 people and GLENN will be on between 9:00PM-9:30PM. There might be an opening support band prior to that, who would start at 8:00PM.

If The Palms proofs too expensive for you, there is a hotel across the street called The Gold Coast. It's a dive by all accounts, but is a room http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Chip,

Will you be staying at "The Seely Hilton?"

Ken Feb-04-2004 7:36 AM

Is this a Voices show or Glenn solo?

David Feb-04-2004 9:36 AM

It will be a Solo acoustic show featuring George Nastos and Dan Dugan on guitars, the same as the cruise line-up that took to the high seas in October of last year http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emo.../icon_razz.gif

toadsterama Feb-04-2004 11:24 AM

Chip's in for a rude awakening...the Seely Hilton has no pool. The staff is very rude, too. But they do have complimentary cold beer.

A few things...
First....I am bumming a bit. I thought I would be able to make it to Vegas for the GH show but I am getting my Masters degree (1st Masters, 3rd college degree overall http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emo.../icon_wink.gif that weekend. My Grandfather is in his 90s and plans to attend the ceremony as well as many family members so as much as I would love to go the show it does not seem possible.

Second...Todd...I sent you an email and hope you got it. I hope to be able to clear my schedule to go to JLT's scheduled date at The Palms. But, I will fly in and fly out the next day. I plan to party all night so my room will just end up being a "hair and makeup fix up" room. As long as there are not a lot of bugs crawling around, the bathroom is clean and the bed sheets are washed so I can nap for a couple hours I am good. Is this place across from the Palms THAT BAD?!? Do they have AC? If I have to kill 1 roach I can deal http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emo.../icon_wink.gif but more than 1 roach I might skeeve out. Todd or any Vegas people please advise ;-)

I mean this when I say I will be in and out if I go to the JLT thing http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emo...on_redface.gif

Thanks
Lisa

Hi Todd,
How's everything? Bought my airline tickets a couple of weeks ago for Vegas. Are there any decent campgrounds in the area?
See you in April.
Mark in Rochester,N.Y.

JohnH Feb-04-2004 12:11 PM

Am looking forward to this....and Lisa when is JLT's date....I will be there for that also.

John

Chip Feb-04-2004 12:31 PM

Yes Grace, I made my reservation at the Seely Hilton weeks ago.
What more can you ask for in a place......cold beer and a place to lie down afterwards.

Lisa, congratulations on your degree!

Chip

Not confirmed http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emo.../icon_wink.gifbut slated to happen in Spring 2004. Check www.joelynnturner.com or www.htpsupportersclub.org

Chip...Thanks for the Congrats! http://fanforum.ghpg.net/2/ws/,s,714...s/party047.gifIt was rough to do the Masters and 2 additional full time jobs at the same time. LOL about your comments!! To me..if there is AC and if the roach count is below 1 per room a 2 hour nap (all I will have time for ;-) cannot possibly be THAT painful if it is right across the street. Hey...it means I will not have to drive the rental car over there http://www.ghpg.net/images/opentopic/smileys/icon28.gif. Does anyone know how far in terms of distance this
"motel" is from The Palms? Is is OK to walk and not lose all makeup in transit? Can I navigate the distance is spike heels without colapsing? I am not joking http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emo.../icon_wink.gif Those of you who know me know I am not one to wear sweat pants and jeans. Have not worn jeans since I was 12 years old http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emo.../icon_wink.gif

Thanks
Lisa

Lisa, no I did not get your email if it was something you just sent - please resend:
toadsterama@msn.com

And I have to ask - can you truly be a rocker and not ever wear jeans? http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emo.../icon_wink.gif It's either denim or leather, one or the other.

As for the Gold Coast, I don't know why everyone is worried about the place. It's an older hotel, owned by the same people as the Barbary Coast on the strip. Gold Coast is across the street from the Rio, and just down from the Palms. (It's not something I'd attempt walking in spiked heels - that's more suited for sneakers...which go great with jeans!) It's not quite as nice as either of those other properties, from what I can remember. I believe I've only ever been in the Gold Coast once, about ten years ago. And it appears to cater as much to locals as it does to tourists, much like the Station casinos.

That's about all I know. Ask me about anything else, and frankly, I'll have to lie about it. (Kidding.)

Hope there's a good group of us GHCP's at the GH show AND the "alleged" (a nod to Grace) JLT show.

Lastly, Lisa you have pulled off a Masters in the midst of all the other stuff you do? You indeed are 'The Master'.

Cheers...Todd

Todd comments to Lisa - 'It's not something I'd attempt walking in spiked heels.' Lisa, if Todd's in spiked heels then I want a picture on here for all to see! http://fanforum.ghpg.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

And congratulations indeed Lisa - you clever girl! http://fanforum.ghpg.net/2/ws/,s,714...milies/bow.gif

Todd,
Sorry to hear that the service is SO BAD
at the Seely Hilton. But at least Chip
will be consoled with the fact that the
elevator music is ONLY Glenn Hughes.....

I prefer leather and wear a LOT of it.

How far do you estimate? I am serious...1/2 mile?

I am concerned about AC and CLEAN. I do not care what the bedspread looks like. When I only plan to sleep a couple hours it makes no difference but with no AC or with a filthy bathroom I would truly skieve out.

>>>Hope there's a good group of us GHCP's at the GH show AND the "alleged" (a nod to Grace) JLT show. >>>

I wish I was able to go to GH's event. Maybe if there is a last minute cheap flight I can swing it. But...with the family going to Indiana for my graduation it will be tough. We'll see.

>>>Lastly, Lisa you have pulled off a Masters in the midst of all the other stuff you do? You indeed are 'The Master'. >>>

Todd...thanks for your very kind words. They are much appreciated.

LOL!!! Perhaps we can get him in the festive enough mood to have him put on some heels ;-)...just kidding, Todd ;-) although I secretly believe EVERY man on the planet needs to experience 24 hours of the constraint and discomfort of an underwire bra, pantyhose and heels to know what we ladies go through to look sexy for "the guys."

>>>And congratulations indeed Lisa - you clever girl! SHIRL>>>

Thanks so much Shirl. It was not easy. I am just glad it is over!

Take Care,
Lisa

OK, the Palms is officially .32 miles from the Gold Coast. Seems to me it was further away than that, but Mapquest says otherwise. Still, I'm not sure about hoofing it in heels.

The Orleans is another very close hotel, if anyone's interested.

Cheers..Todd

.32 is CLOSE!!! No problem there!

Is it any better than the Gold Coast? Closer?

Thanks,
Lisa

No, on both counts.

As The Palms web site seems to be up and down like a yo-yo, you can also check this ticket link:

http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/82439

It appears they make tickets available about 2 weeks prior to each of these Rock The Lounge events - so at the end of next week or early part of the following week, we should see tickets on sale.

David Mar-21-2004 11:46 AM

Ok folks, tickets are now available for purchase on-line via Ticketmaster:
