Hi to all,

I'm a newbie on this site. Have been a lurker for some time and liked what I saw, so decided to become a member.

I am from Germany, Deep Purple fan since 1970 and - obviously - a Glenn Hughes fan. Can't wait to get my hands on the upcoming BCC album, which for me will be in vinyl.

Look forward to chatting with other fans from all over the world!

Glenn was recently in Spain promoting the forthcoming debut album, "Black Country" by Black Country Communion. Also included are snippets of an in-studio acoustic set featuring the songs, "Medusa" and "Catch The Rainbow".

As you may have seen earlier, Glenn tweeted about a couple of live promo/media events that Black Country Communion will do
in the USA (New York City) and UK (London) in September.

deep purple new studio album?

I am a Deep Purple fan since the early seventies. I like the old albums with Gillan a lot. The studio and live albums with Glenn and DC are different, but maybe these are even better! Great classic albums.

I like the present line up, with Steve Morse and Don Airey as a live band a lot. Very great musicians. But I,m waiting for a new classic Deep Purple studio album. The last album is more than five years old.

What do you think: Why does it take so long for making a GOOD new album (comparing to Glenn"s production).

On Twitter: Glenn called himself controversial. What does that mean to us fans? I like it, because it shows to me that he is adventurous. He dares to take risks. No dull moment. Great!

News on Blabbermouth.net. Glenn revealed exclusively to Express & Star about a forthcoming Dio Tribute album with megastars and a major tribute show in Los Angeles in march 2011.

I hope that Glenn will appear on the album and the live show (maybe with Black Country Communion). Long live RJD :thumbsup:

You can hear an interview with Glenn at 22.00 GMT (2:00PM PDT / 5:00PM EST / 11:00PM CET) tonight at my new radio station www.getreadytorock.com with Mark Taylor. You can also hear it repeated at 22.00 next Friday.

I have my own Rockwaves programme there too now on Sundays at 21.00 GMT. In the past I have got a few reviews of Glenn onto the main site at www.getreadytorock.com and also interviewes there, so it's worth checking out.

By the way, so that this is not just a post of unashamed self publicity, I would a like to announce that, now that BCC is firing on all cylinders, the mainstream PR is being handled by a larger company. It's been the ultimate honour and a pleasure working with Glenn and his manager, Carl. I am sure we will again too.

Meanwhile I will of course be playing Glenn's music on air and spreading the word, as I have been doing for 35 years now. Trouble is someone has now given me a mike to ramble into :eek:

I've had a Chad Smith week! Started out Monday by working out to a bunch of his Glenn Hughes tracks- which I just totally get off on in the gym. Then Friday went to City Walk reported on in the other thread. So then I'm onstage with my Doors tribute at my Doors gig in Venice Sunday, and who comes walking out of the bathroom (which I can see behind the stage) but Mr. Smith himself! No way!! And we are just about to start Love Street, a song I’ve been working hardest at lately, but finally have it down. It’s got some crazy parts, and I have to be on my game every time we play it. I'm getting nervous one of my favorite musicians is here! So we end the song and I tell the singer Chad Smith is here. He loves the Chilis and announces that

Chad Smith is in the house and to come up and jam.

ad was already at the back of the stage- from the front of the bar he'd made a beeline to the drumkit so fast I couldn't believe it. Now he's just a few feet from me and I get to play key bass with him and keys. He played RoadHouse Blues and Back Door Man with us...He slams those drums like nobody else! I've seen him play with Glenn many times and met him before so it was great to play with him. He remembered me from Friday, when I shouted out "Tommy Bolin" as he was about to do Stratus from Cobham's Spectrum. It's a small world, man. We played a few bars of Stratus but had to end it to get back on topic. He’s so awesome…we all felt the good vibes from Chad that Glenn has talked about. I’m still not over this experience. Glenn, if you could please pass our thanks on to
